PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in OFDM scheme communications and further control the degree of PAPR reduction.SOLUTION: A modulation unit 11 generates a modulation signal from an input signal, and a serial to parallel conversion unit 12 generates a subcarrier modulation signal from the modulation signal. An arithmetic unit 13 equally divides the subcarrier modulation signal to generate sub-data and multiplies the generated sub-data by an element of amplitude data series correlated to each element of the sub-data series to generate arithmetically operated sub-data. An IFFT unit 15 performs reverse Fast Fourier transformation on rearranged data generated by arranging the arithmetically operated sub-data in prescribed order in a rearrangement unit 14, while a synthesis unit 16 synthesizes the results of calculations made by the IFFT unit 15 to generate a baseband signal and a determination unit 17 determines whether the peak to average power ratio of the baseband signal conforms to a prescribed standard. The above process is repeated until a baseband signal conforming to the prescribed standard is detected. A transmission unit 18 generates a transmission signal from the baseband signal and transmits the generated signal via an antenna 10. |
