PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in OFDM scheme communications and control the degree of PAPR reduction.SOLUTION: A modulation unit 11 applies, to each element of an input signal, a prescribed arithmetic operation, in which the result in absolute value of arithmetic operation performed on elements of at least one input signal becomes larger than 0. The modulation unit 11 correlates one for one the elements of a data series which is an aggregate of data identical in prescribed absolute value to the elements of an input signal each other, multiplies the elements of the input signal having had the arithmetic operation applied thereto by the elements of the data series correlated to the elements to generate arithmetically operated data by serial to parallel conversion. An IFFT unit 12 performs reverse Fast Fourier transformation on the arithmetically operated data, and a synthesis unit 13 synthesizes the results of arithmetic operation to generate a baseband signal. A transmission unit 14 generates a transmission signal from the baseband signal and transmits the generated signal via an antenna 10. |
