PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure of a three plane joint part of an internal combustion engine which reduces such a danger that an FIPG is collapsed or stripped due to compression by means of a cylinder head or the like, thereby reducing such a danger that lubricating oil leaks to the outside of the internal combustion engine through the three plane joint part.SOLUTION: In a sealing structure of a three plane joint part of an internal combustion engine, liquid packing 30 is injected in a void of the three plane joint part 22 of the internal combustion engine 10 which includes a cylinder block 12, a cylinder head 14, a gasket 16 inserted between the cylinder block and the cylinder head, and a chain cover 18. The cylinder block and the cylinder head have first and second protrusion parts 24 and 26 which respectively adjoin each other and are protruded to the chain cover side, a joint part 18A of the chain cover 18 has a recessed part 28 which receives the two protrusion parts, planes of the side opposite to each other of the two protrusion parts assume inclination planes 24A and 26A which are inclined so as to get close to the other side as proceeding to the top end and the recessed part 28 of the joint part has inclined contact planes 28A and 28B which come into contact with the inclination planes. |
