PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blast material and a blast method for decreasing return rust generation especially within six hours, and determined to be permitted in coating in visual observation comparison by coating permission/inhibition determination.SOLUTION: A blast material as a blast material to be used for blast processing to be performed as base conditioning before covering a steel material with a coating material has a nonferrous abrasive as the main ingredient, and is mixed with a fine powder of triiron tetraoxide. Especially, an average particle diameter of the fine powder of triiron tetraoxide is 0.1 to 5 μm and 0.1 to 10 wt.% of triiron tetraoxide is mixed. |
