PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective sleeve able to sufficiently reinforce an optical fiber fusion connection portion with sufficient strength.SOLUTION: A protective sleeve 1 comprises: a thermoplastic adhesive tube 11 accommodating optical fiber fusion connection part 23 therein; a first tensile strength body 12 made of glass or ceramics as its main constituent; a second tensile strength body 13 made of metal as its main constituent; and a heat-shrinkable protective tube 10 accommodating the adhesive tube 11 and first and second tensile strength bodies 12 and 13 therein. The first face 12a of the first tensile strength body 12 is flat, and the other 12b is curved in the form of arc in cross-section. The adhesive tube 11 is provided on the first face 12a side of the first tensile strength body 12. The second tensile strength body 13 is smaller in volume than the first tensile strength body 12. |
