PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent false detection of a magnetic sensor which results from a residual magnetic force occurring at a metal member disposed near the magnetic sensor in a portable terminal device that detects a position of a movable part using the magnetic sensor.SOLUTION: A portable terminal device includes: a first housing; a magnet provided at the first housing; a second housing (20A) connected with the first housing so as to open and close relative to the first housing; a metal member (23) fixed to the interior of the second housing; a magnetic sensor (22a) which is disposed between the magnet and the metal member and detects the proximity of the magnet; and a shield member (24) which is made of a soft magnetic material and is provided between the metal member and the magnetic sensor. |
