A circuit is used within CD player systems to minimise the effect of voltage differences over the ground loop. The arrangement is based upon a ground line that has a unit resistance that is less than that of the signal lines and is provided by utilising a cable of greater cross sectional area. The ground line connects to the volume amplifier circuit which has a potentiometer for regulation and also to circuitry including IC elements, capacitors and resistors. ADVANTAGE - Reduces effect of ground loop impedance.
