<p>The present invention addresses the problem of reducing costs by simplifying in-furnace transport device that sequentially moves objects being processed in a continuous heating furnace, and the problem of appropriately detecting the position and the like of an object being processed in the furnace. Multiple stationary beams (14) are provided within a continuous heating furnace (10) above the hearth (13) and along the transport direction of objects (A) being processed, and multiple transport guide grooves (17) are provided so as to penetrate the hearth along the transport direction of the objects being processed. Carts (22) which travel along the transport guide grooves are provided with rising/falling retaining parts (22b), which protrude upward through the transport guide grooves and rise/fall, and the carts are made to travel in the transport direction with the rising/falling retaining parts raised and the object being processed, which have been held by the stationary beams, being held by the rising/falling retaining parts, and thus the objects being processed, which have been held by the stationary beams, are sequentially moved.
