PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit image data in consideration of power consumption.SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 comprises: a first determination unit 108b which determines whether image data is recorded in a recording medium M in association with transmission request information, while a power supply unit 111 does not supply power to an imaging unit 103; a second start control unit 108c which, when it is determined that the image data is recorded in association with the transmission request information, controls the power supply unit to supply power to a radio processing unit 107 and also controls the radio processing unit to start searching for an external apparatus that is a transmission destination of the image data; and a transmission control unit 108e which, when it is determined that the external apparatus as the transmission destination is found, acquires the image data associated with the transmission request information from the recording medium, and controls the radio processing unit to transmit the image data to the external apparatus. |
