PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of performing range-finding with high precision, even when performing range-finding according to a contrast value in a range-finding frame within an imaging surface using a lens with an image magnification change.SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging apparatus 100 comprising: an imaging element 14 that images a subject and outputs an image signal; a system control part 50 that obtains a contrast value of the image signal, detects a focus according to the obtained contrast value and drives a lens unit 300 according to the focus detection result so as to perform focusing control processing; and an image display part 29 that sequentially displays an image corresponding to the image signal. The system control part 50 changes the size or position of the AF frame for obtaining a contrast value according to lens information including at least image magnification of the lens unit 300. |
