The present invention relates to a tracking area updating method of a digital signal processing device which is physically separated from at least one wireless signal processing device and which is installed in a service region and processes a wireless signal and is connected to a core system in order to process a digital signal, wherein the method includes the steps of: receiving a tracking area update (TAU) request message from a terminal; determining whether a movement of the terminal is of a first movement type which is a movement between tracking areas (TAs) managed by an identical digital signal processing device, or of a second movement type which is a movement between tracking areas managed by different digital signal processing devices; and performing the TAU procedure differently according to whether the movement type is of the first or of the second movement type.
