PURPOSE: An estimation method of brake pad wear is provided that the wear of the brake pad is presumed by using all kinds of the sensors of the existing vehicle posture control in the apparatus. The operator from time to time confirms the wear of the brake pad. CONSTITUTION: An estimation method of brake pad wear comprises the following steps. The wheel speed of a vehicle, the vertical acceleration, and the temperature of the disc of the pressure of the master cylinder and the wheel are sensed in the braking vehicle. The braking condition whether or not is decided based on the pressure of the master cylinder. The deceleration of vehicle is presumed based on the wheel speed and the vertical acceleration. The pad wear model and the pad wear model basing on the wheel speed and the deceleration of vehicle are established. The disc pad wear is presumed based on the pressure of the master cylinder and the pad wear model. |
