A pump set is disclosed which has a base frame, a fuel tank, a power unit (including a pump and a motor), inlet piping for conveying a flowable fluid to the pump, and outlet piping for conveying the fluid from the pump. The fuel tank and power unit are produced separately from the base frame but can be mounted to, or relative to, the base frame when the pump set is assembled. The inlet piping and the outlet piping are also produced separately from other parts of the pump set, but can be connected to the pump when the pump set is assembled. The pump set also has a floor area where personnel can work when operating the pump set. When the pump set is assembled, at least a portion of the outlet piping is mounted such that, at least within the footprint of the pump set, the said outlet piping or portion thereof is concealed below the level of the floor area such that, in the event of a failure of the outlet piping or the portion thereof which is within the footprint and below the floor, the floor area is not exposed directly to escaping pressurised fluid. The fuel tank has a first volume and a second volume. The first volume is adapted to normally receive fuel, and the second volume is larger than the first volume and is adapted to receive and contain fuel in the event of failure of fuel containment in the first volume. a |
