This invention is a locking collar that surrounds each hub of a space frame structure. The struts radiating from the hub pass through openings in the locking collar. The size of the openings in the locking collar relative to the widths of the struts provide a locking action to the struts and limits their movement, which gives support to the shape of the space frame, and allows very simple hubs to be used. The locking collar provides support to beams of wood or other materials that are attached to the struts without placing stress on the hub. |
