A method for controlling a refrigeration appliance having a refrigeration circuit with a compressor which is switched on or off depending on a predetermined temperature range around a predetermined temperature set value, comprises a detection of the amplitude of actual temperature oscillation and or frequency thereof and an automatic adjustment of these parameters according to pre-set values based on food preservation and energy performances.
