<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video conversion device that is excellent in video conversion control according to a situation. <P>SOLUTION: A video conversion device according to an embodiment comprises: 3D conversion instruction means; determination means; and conversion means. The 3D conversion instruction means gives a 3D conversion instruction for converting input video into 3D video. The determination means determines whether the 3D conversion instruction is valid or not based on a type of the input video.
