The invention is applied in electrical engineering, in particular for systems of a number of consumers such as semaphore installations, electrical ovens, lighting systems, etc. The device is highly reliable and informative. The method monitors the current passing through the consumer and the availability of electricity in it allows to find that the consumer is working. It leads a navigating signal to the respective key element and the consumer is switched on or off upon a preliminarily set and monitored program. During the time, when it is fed, the consumer is switched on in the beginning of each semi-period for the feeding pressure after a time defined by the reaching of the untapping pressure of elements in the leading chain, while it is switched off before the end of each semi-period at a moment determined by the reach of tapping pressure of elements in the leading chain. Each subsequent period T2-T1 shows the status of the consumer and its condition. The device, which controls and manages the alternating-current consumer (1) consists of a controller (2), a transformer with coils (3,5,8), a manageable semistor (4), a controlling (6) and leading (7) bloc and condenser (9).
