PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm capable of adjusting an angle of a case after installation, and eliminating a risk of the drop of the case. SOLUTION: The alarm is provided with: a case 1 which stores a sensor for detecting the change of a peripheral environment; a mounting base 4 fixed to an installation surface W; and an energizing part 46 for making the case 1 engaged with the mounting base 4 in a direction in which they are isolated from each other where the case 1 is rotated with respect to the mounting base 4 against an energizing force of the energizing part 46, and thereby a case side engagement part 18 formed in the case 1 in the rotary circumferential direction of the case 1 is engaged with a base side engagement part 43 formed at the mounting base 4 and the case 1 can be supported by the mounting base 4. The alarm is formed so that after the case side engagement part 18 is engaged with the base side engagement part 43, the case 1 is rotated with respect to the mounting base 4, and provided with resistance generation parts 18, 19, 20, 41a, 43, and 45 for applying resistance to the rotation of the case 1 for the mounting base 4 after the case side engagement part 18 is engaged with the base side engagement part 43.
