PROTECTIVE COVER FOR SLACK ADJUSTERS A protective cover for slack adjusters is provided. An ordinary slack adjuster cover has a body in which a slack adjusting element is arranged, with a cover over the slack adjusting element. The present invention provides that an elastic element which extends from the cover and around the body and back again to the cover is provided to hold the cover in position where the slack adjusting element is protected. The elastic element acts to pull the cover against the body of the slack adjuster, and there is provided at least one removal connection by which the elastic element and other elements associated with it may be connected to the cover. The provision of the elastic element assures that the slack adjuster remains sealed against the elements, thus assuring continued long life of the slack adjuster. b:2091-54.abs/Mar.01.91/sm
