摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for measuring an air ratio lambda using a gas sensor which has a ceramic measuring member. At this time, the output voltage of the gas sensor rapidly changes when the lambda changes at around the range of lambda=1, and the gas sensor has a jump voltage according to the temperature of the gas sensor. The task of the present invention can be solved by determining the threshold value of the jump voltage for the limit between lambda under 1 and lambda above 1 depending on the temperature of the gas sensor. In addition, the present invention relates to an apparatus for performing the method. The method and apparatus can actuate a gas sensor having a ceramic measuring member at a lower temperature than the temperature of a preceding technology and can shorten the period between the startup of an internal combustion engine and the actuation ready state of a lambda closed circuit control. Therefore, the method and apparatus can reduce not only fuel consumption but also the emission of unwanted substances in the exhaust gas.</p>
