Automatic doffer - applies winding data to bobbin for identification and quality control

For bobbin quality control, as the fully wound bobbin is taken by the doffer information or data on the rewinding operation is transferred from the winder monitor to the doffer for a constant yarn length. The winding data are applied to the bobbin. The doffer has a mechanism to apply an adhesive label to the bobbin, with the winding data for identification, and the label also secures the yarn end to the bobbin surface. The data are shown on the label in the form of bar codes. The doffer can also apply the identification directly to an end of the bobbin. The automatic doffer (AD) travels along the line of neighbouring winding stations (Wu). A labelling unit transfers data from the winding station to a sleeve (B). The sleeve feed (1) delivers marked sleeves through a continuous conveyor (3) to the automatic doffer (AD). ADVANTAGE - The system gives a bobbin identification to show the winding quality.
