<p>A heated sample transfer apparatus (2) for use in auto-sampler devices. The transfer apparatus (2) comprises a heated metal plate (10) which contacts a sampling needle (14), a valve (26) for conducting sample to an analyzing instrument (6), and transfer tubing (20) connecting the needle (14) and valve (26). The conductive heat from the metal plate (10) maintains a uniform temperature in the needle (14), valve (26), and transfer tubing (20), thereby eliminating hot and cold spots in the transfer apparatus (2).</p> |
