The present invention relates to a drilling apparatus having a retractable test stump for removing a well head connector and a test. The drilling apparatus comprises: a BOP installed at a moon pool side; a well head connector positioned under the BOP and installed to be connected to a well head installed on an entrance to a deep sea oil well; and a test stump engaged connector installed to be able to move left and right at the moon pool side and having a retractable test stump for retracting the well head connector at an upper portion. The well head connector can be easily and conveniently removed out of a BOP stand for maintenance of the BOP since the retractable test stump is improved to be able to move left and right while skidding.
