The present invention relates to a photovoltaic power generator controller and a control method thereof. The control method of the photovoltaic power generator controller for controlling a photovoltaic power generator system to supply maximum power to the load by adjusting the reference value comprises the following steps: determining a partial shade state; and processing a global maximum power point tracking (MPPT) process when a partial shade state is determined.
