PURPOSE: A method for driving a foreign language learning apparatus is provided to inform a learner of wrong intonation by comparing the intonation of the learner with an example sentence. CONSTITUTION: An intonation of an example sentence is displayed. A pronunciation is inputted. An amplitude and a frequency are extracted from the inputted pronunciation. The extracted amplitude and frequency are stored in a database. The intonation of the finally inputted data is analyzed by comparing the data stored in the database with the finally inputted data. The analyzed intonation of the inputted sentence is displayed according to the intonation with the example sentence. The part with a matching rate below a preset reference is displayed with different colors. |
