<p>THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A PLANAR DIPOLE ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS LAN APPLICATIONS. THE ANTENNA DESIGN STARTS WITH SPECIFYING THE PROPER LAMINATE. TO DESIGN THE MULTIBAND MICROSTRIP ANTENNA THE DIMENSION SIZE FOR BOTH DIPOLE (10) AND CIRCULAR (12) ANTENNAS MUST BE THE SAME. THE POSITION OF A FEED LINE IS FIXED AND AT SAME POSITION FOR BOTH ANTENNAS (10, 12). AN ETCHING PROCESS IS CONDUCTED THEREIN IN WHICH GENERALLY CONSIST FOUR MAIN STEPS WHEREIN (I) MICROSTRIP LAMINATES ARE CUT INTO THE REQUIRED SIZE. (II) THEN A PLASTIC LAYER THAT COVERS THE FR4 LAMINATE IS TAKEN OUT AND PUT TOGETHER WITH A TRANSPARENCY ON A UV UNIT AND WHEREIN DURING THIS PROCESS, ETCHING ROOM SHOULD BE IN A DARK ENVIRONMENT AND THE FR4 LAMINATE ARE EXPOSED ON UV UNIT ABOUT 140 SECONDS. (III) NEXT, THE LAMINATES ARE IMMERSED INTO GERMANIUM SILICATE TO GET A LAYOUT DESIGN ONTO A PLATE AND WHEREIN THE LAMINATES ARE THEREAFTER IMMERSED INTO AN ACID BATH. (IV) AFTER FEW HOURS, THE UNWANTED METAL ON THE LAMINATE WILL BE ETCHED AWAY, AND THE LAMINATED IS CLEANED WITH CLEAN WATER AND DRIED AND THE ANTENNA IS THEN CONNECTED WITH SUITABLE CONNECTOR SUCH AS SMA OR SMB CONNECTORS.</p> |
