The assembly has a plate (2) delimited by upper peripheral edge (4) that is prolonged downwards by an outer peripheral surface (6). Watch dial (1) is fixed on the upper peripheral edge of the plate by using a fixing unit. The fixing unit includes an embossing (18) provided on the outer peripheral surface of the plate. The dial has a peripheral edge (10) maintained between a head (14) of a screw (12) or a nail and the upper peripheral edge of the plate. The head or nail is extended by a stem (16) placed in the embossing.
