<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw a data point distribution region in a scatter diagram on a plurality of data having a pair of two variables in a method different from a probability ellipse. <P>SOLUTION: The region in the scatter diagram selecting the plurality of data having the pairs of two variables is divided into two or more regions by one straight line for division or a plurality of parallel straight lines for division which cross over the distribution region of the data points. The data points positioned outermost respectively in two direction in which the straight lines for division extend in each divided region are selected as representative points of data point distribution.
