<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tryptophan-agaro oligosaccharide complex that has a sleep-inducing action and improves a tryptophan function, a method for producing the same and a food and beverage containing the complex. <P>SOLUTION: The cystine-keratin hydrolyzate complex comprises a keratin hydrolyzate and cystine. The cystine-keratin hydrolyzate complex is produced by a process for dissolving cystine in an alkali solution having a pH of ≥10 and a process for mixing the cystine solution with a solution of a keratin hydrolyzate with stirring to form the complex in a solution having a pH of <10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
