<p>The security means is suitable for a motor vehicle wherein vehicle operating subsystems are controlled by respective electronic control means (10), such as fuel supply control means (10a) and/or ignition control means (10b). The security means includes disabling means (1) connectable to the control means (10). The disabling means (1) is also connected with a sensor (2). When the sensor detects tampering with vehicle mobilization means such as a steering lock (3), the disabling means (1) is actuated to disable one or more of the control means (10). Corresponding vehicle operating subsystems may also be switched off. Replacing the disabled control means (10) without correcting the tampering with the steering lock (3), and/or tampering with the connections between any of the integers, will actuate the disabling means to disable the replacement control means (10). <IMAGE></p> |
