<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst-coated body which has an excellent property of decomposing toxic gas while restraining the deterioration of a base material and is excellent in mildewproof properties and alga-proof properties and to provide a photocatalyst coating liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalyst-coated body includes the base material and a photocatalyst layer arranged on the base material. The photocatalyst layer is obtained by applying the photocatalyst coating liquid and drying the applied photocatalyst coating liquid. The photocatalyst coating liquid includes: a photocatalyst particle comprising a metal oxide partially covered or modified with a substance having a hydrophobic group; a silicone emulsion; and a water-soluble silver compound.
