An organic light emitting display and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent undercut of a gate insulating film by additionally forming a semiconductor layer between a first drain electrode and the gate insulating film of a switching thin film transistor. A gate line and a data line define a pixel region on a substrate(100). A power line(112) is in parallel with the data line while crossing the gate line. A switching thin film transistor(T1) is connected to the gate line and the data line. A driving thin film transistor(T2) is connected to the switching thin film transistor and the power line. An organic light emitting diode is connected to the driving thin film transistor. A semiconductor layer(108) is formed at an overlapped part of a drain electrode(126) of the switching thin film transistor and a gate electrode(130) of the driving thin film transistor. A contact hole(150) passes through the drain electrode, the semiconductor layer, and the gate insulating film of the switching thin film transistor to expose the gate electrode of the driving thin film transistor. A connecting electrode(154) connects the drain electrode of the switching thin film transistor and the gate electrode of the driving thin film transistor through the contact hole. |
