Provided is a hybrid power supply apparatus using a fuel cell stack and a rechargeable battery to supply power to a load. The hybrid power supply apparatus includes: a DC/DC converter for converting output power of a fuel cell stack according to a PWM signal to deliver to the load; a controller for generating the PWM signal using a voltage command (V_dc*) to a converter voltage (V_dc) of the DC/DC converter set higher than a voltage of the rechargeable battery connected to the fuel cell stack in parallel and a current limit (I_(dc_lim)) limiting a converter current (I_dc) of the DC/DC converter based on an output voltage of the fuel cell stack, and providing the generated PWM signal to the DC/DC converter to adjust the converter voltage (V_dc) and the converter current (I_dc); and an output line for providing power of the fuel cell stack, power of the rechargeable battery, or the sum of the power of the fuel cell stack and rechargeable battery to the load. In addition, the hybrid power supply apparatus does not require an additional valve control device since the hybrid power supply apparatus controls the output voltage of the fuel cell not to drop below a certain voltage using the lowest limit of the output voltage of the fuel cell.
