<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of exceptionally improving operability when attaching an optical fiber to the optical connector. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector includes an optical fiber connection unit for butting a first optical fiber and a second optical fiber, a coating removing unit for removing coating of the second optical fiber in accordance with the second optical fiber being inserted by a given pressing load, a fiber holding unit for holding and fixing the second optical fiber, and a fiber guide unit for guiding the second optical fiber held by the fiber holding unit to the coating removing unit. In addition, the optical connector includes a bend prevention unit for preventing the second optical fiber from bending between the coating removing unit and the fiber holding unit when the coating of the second optical fiber is removed by the coating removing unit by sliding the fiber holding unit in an insertion direction of the second optical fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
