PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a multidirectional switch member to perform a smoother display action in operation along its peripheral direction. SOLUTION: The multidirectional switch member 2 is provided with a rocking member 30 free in rocking in a front-and-rear direction at an outer periphery part in a plurality of directions from its in-face center, a printed circuit board 20 arranged in opposition to the rocking member 30 toward a rear direction of the rocking member 30 and equipped with a plurality of contact electrode groups 101 etc. structured of a plurality of electrodes at a position corresponding to an outer periphery part of a face opposed to the rocking member 30, and a plurality of conductive elastic bodies 41 etc. opposed to the contact electrode groups 101 etc. at a rear face of the rocking member 30 and arranged so as to be along a peripheral direction of the rocking member 30.
