A method for producing a regionalized-firmness midsole utilizing a heat process, the method comprising: providing a plurality of plates, wherein the plurality of plates forms a receiving area; providing a first quantity of pelletized phylon (a compression-moulded EVA foam); providing a second quantity of pelletized phylon, wherein the first quantity of pelletized phylon having a first density and the second quantity of pelletized phylon having a second density; dividing the receiving area into a first zone and a second zone; placing the first quantity of pelletized phylon into the first zone; placing the second quantity of pelletized phylon into second first zone; and integrating the first quantity of pelletized phylon and the second quantity of pelletized phylon to form the regionalized-firmness midsole by heat activation.
