The torpedo (1) contains a RSV attack section (3) which is turnable by means of a drive unit (7) about a main axis parallel to the length axis of the torpedo, the length axis of the RSV section intersecting the main axis in the forward direction to define an angle (V). At least sixteen laser diodes (8) with a corresp. number of echo ranging detectors are used to give a 0 to plus or minus 180 deg. coverage.
