A fringe field switching (FFS) mode liquid crystal display device of the present invention comprises two pixels as a pair and forms a two-pixel two-domain structure in which a common electrode is bent around a gate line. As a result, it is possible to improve transmittance as well as improving viewing angle asymmetry and reduce the number of data lines instead of doubling the number of the gate lines to reduce the number of data driver integrated circuits (IC). The device comprises: 2n gate lines and m data lines arranged vertically and horizontally on an array substrate and defining nx2m pixels; a thin film transistor formed in an intersection region between the gate line and the data line; and a common electrode and a pixel electrode formed in the pixel and generating a fringe field, wherein neighboring two pixels are configured as a pair, and a data line arranged in the middle of the pair of pixels is configured to be inclined unlike common lines positioned in the left and right of the data line such that two domains are formed in two pixels. |
