The present invention relates to a method and system for packet barring in an LTE mobile communication system. According to one aspect of the present invention, a packet barring method includes a step in which a gateway device receives a session generation request message from a serving gateway; a step in which a packet gateway device receives a policy and charging regulation reflecting a packet barring configuration about the communication terminal from a policy and charging regulation determination device; and a step in which the packet gateway device transmits a session generation response message to the serving gateway. According to another aspect of the present invention, a packet barring process system for a mobile communication terminal includes a packet gateway receiving a policy and charging regulation reflecting a packet barring configuration about the communication terminal from a policy and charging regulation determination device; and the policy and charging regulation determination device generating a policy and charging regulation reflecting the packet barring configuration about the communication terminal based on a user profile including packet barring configuration setting information about the communication terminal. |
