A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to simplify the manufacturing process and reduce the manufacturing cost. A liquid crystal layer(55) is formed between a first substrate(200) and a second substrate(100). The first substrate has color filters which are arranged facing each other. The second substrate has a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a gate electrode(41). An overcoat layer(34) has triple layer which is formed on the color filter. A column spacer(34d) is integrately formed with the overcoat layer. |
