An active fluid damper of a building structure according to the present invention can efficiently and accurately control vibration damping of the building structure as a damping factor can be controlled according to the movements of the building structure by moving fluid in a water tank in the opposite direction to the movement of the building structure according to the movement of the building structure with an actuator. The present invention has large vibration damping effect in comparison to the size of the water tank so that the restrictions on an installation space can be released. The structure of the active fluid damper is simple so that it can reduce manufacture, installation, and maintenance costs.
