An apparatus for driving an LCD device and a driving method for driving the same are provided to enhance display quality by reducing color shift. An apparatus for driving an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a frame memory(110), a frequency converter(120), an image data determiner(130), an image data converter(140), and a multiplexer(150). The frame memory memorizes consecutive image data for every frame. The frequency converter outputs multiplied frame frequency of image data from the frame memory. The image data determiner determines image data from the frequency converter and outputs the determined image data. The image data converter converts image data from the image date determiner and outputs the converted image data. The multiplexer aligns image data inputted from the image data determiner and the image data converter, and outputs the aligned image data. |
