<p>A method of manufacturing a variator disc comprising the steps of providing steel disc blank (10) with a machining allowance having a first face (12) with a concave race (14), a second face (13) opposite to the first face (12), a central through bore (11) extending between the first (12) and second face (13), and an outer peripheral edge (19); heat treating the disc blank; turning the bore (11) to obtain at least one cylindrical turned portion (15) of the bore (11), then truning the concave race (14), holding the disc blank (10) locked on the lathe (C) by means of jaws (B) engaging on the machined cylindrical portion (15), using this turned cylindrical portion (15) as a reference surface for turning of the concave race (14).</p> |
