<p>The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device capable of saving manufacturing costs and increasing manufacturing efficiency, by reducing a mask and a process used in manufacturing a liquid crystal panel embedded with a touch sensor. The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: forming a thin film transistor on a glass substrate; forming an interlayer insulating layer and a first protection layer to cover the thin film transistor; forming a first contact hole exposing a drain of the thin film transistor by etching a partial area of the interlayer insulating layer, the first protection layer and a gate insulating layer; forming a common electrode on the first protection layer; forming a data contact electrically connected to the drain and also forming a conductive line electrically connected to the common electrode; and forming a second protection layer to cover the common electrode, also forming a second contact hole exposing the data contact, and forming a pixel electrode in the second contact hole and on the upper part of the second protection layer.</p> |
