PURPOSE:To provide a device for preventing residue from being mixed of a kneader in which quality of material to be kneaded is enhanced without mixing residue in the time for kneading the material to be kneaded in next time. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 3 provided in a chamber 2 is rotated in the direction shown by an arrow 23 around a rotor shaft and material to be kneaded is kneaded by both a kneading blade 22 formed in the tip of the rotor 3 and the inner circumferential surface of the chamber 2, a high pressure part 26 generates in the front of the rotating direction of the kneading blade 22 formed in the tip of the rotor 3 and the rear in the direction of rotation of the kneading blade 22 becomes a low pressure part 25. Heretofore, a part of the material to be kneaded was allowed to flow in the direction of an arrow 26 shown by a broken line by the high pressure part 24 and intruded into an opening between the rotor 3 and a casing and into an opening between a slip ring 17 and the casing. A recessed part 21 is provided on the side of the kneading blade 22 of the rotor 3 in the side outer than the external circumferential surface of the rotor shaft 15. The rear side in the direction of rotation in the recessed part 21 is opened in the chamber 2. A part of the material to be kneaded which starts to leave for the opening enters the recessed part 21 like an arrow 27 shown by a solid line and flows in the direction of the low pressure part 25 and does not flow in the direction of the opening.
