<p>A method of manufacturing a permanent magnet to be inserted in a slot of a motor rotor is achieved by including fracturing a rectangular parallelepiped permanent magnet block into two or more separate permanent magnet pieces having fractured surfaces, and assembling the two or more separate permanent magnet pieces so that fractured surfaces of two or more separate permanent magnet pieces are located in an outer peripheral surface of the permanent magnet. With the fractured surfaces of the separate permanent magnet pieces located in the outer peripheral surface of the permanent magnet, cut surfaces of the separate permanent magnet pieces are placed as contact surfaces of the separate permanent magnet pieces.</p> |
