PURPOSE: A method for preparing L-3-O-alkyl ascorbic acid is provide to prevent discoloration of a reactant and to obtain high purity L-3-O-alkyl ascorbic acid without isolation and purification of an intermediate, thereby having high productivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing L-3-O-alkyl ascorbic acid of chemical formula 1 comprises the steps of: introducing an alkyl group to a compound of chemical formula 2; and deprotecting the prepared compound of chemical formula 3 without isolation and purification. The compound of chemical formula 3 is provided. |
