The present invention relates to a blocking element (25) for a roll mantle (28) of a roll line (20) in a continuous casting device comprising a rotary shaft (24) with a coolant line (30). Roll mantles (28) are fixed to be rotated so that it can be supported on the rotary shaft (24). The roll mantles (28) have one or more coolant channels (32) communicating with the coolant line (30) so that fluid can flow therebetween. The coolant channels (32) have one or more fluid inlets (36) and one or more fluid outlets (42). The blocking element (25) is arranged to supply a coolant to the one or more fluid inlets (36) and to receive the coolant from the one or more coolant outlets (42).
