A novel metal azo pigment has a signal S1 having an intensity l1 in an x-ray diffraction diagram having a lattice constant of d = 10.3 (±0.2)Åand has no signal S2 in which the ratio of I2 / I1 (ratio of the signal S2 with intensity I2, over the signal S1 with intensity I1), which is a ratio of background-revised intensity in the lattice constant range from d = 16.05Åto d = 11.78Å, exceeds a value of 0.02. The novel metal azo pigment comprises: a) two or more kinds of metal azo compounds represented by Chemical formula I or tautomers thereof; b) one or more kinds of adducts represented by Chemical formula II.
