An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent luminance difference between pixel cells having different charge conditions by supplying dummy data signals during a dummy period. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes an LCD panel(200) and a data driver(DD). The LCD panel includes plural data and gate lines crossed each other, and plural pixel cells connected to the data and gate lines. The data driver outputs alternately data signals having positive and negative polarity for driving the pixel cells to a data line, and dummy data signals to the data line during a dummy period between adjacent first and second periods which output data signals having different polarities from each other. |
